A message from Tammy Standley
New Moon Paper Company
As I was winding down my corporate career I was drawn to the meaning of the phase of the moon in which you are urged to take a breath. Reset. Recharge. Set new intentions. The New Moon gave me permission to revisit my dreams.
As a young girl I dreamed of a career that defined me as a thinker, writer, decorator, and fashion-lover. I wanted to leave my small town and head to the BIG CITY. There was a fashion retail-based school (advertised at the back of a fashion magazine!) that focused on Merchandising, Marketing and Management. No one said I couldn’t.
So, I did.
I landed a retail job slanted toward fashion to kick start my career. That evolved into corporate retail where I leaned into the business side of things. Things like finance; open to buy; spreadsheets. (I love spreadsheets!) Nobody stopped me.
So, I kept going.
During my retail finance career, I learned other important lessons such as patience, tenacity and confidence. I learned that everyone has a story and sometimes we just need to listen.

I started listening. I started listening to the small-town dreamer who worked her way through a 30+ year career by looking at spreadsheets and doing math. I wondered what it would be like to rekindle, revisit, renew the dream. No one told me it was a bad idea.
So, I explored it.

One of the ideas that always had a place in my creative mind was The Gift Wrap Book. As a paper-lover, I had purchased one when I was a young woman. It was dark. It was moody. It was different from anything I had seen before. It spoke to me.
What if I re-created it into a story book of curated designs.
What if I could make a collection of these books.
What if I could provide a unique gift for someone to give.
What if ‘The Gift is the Wrap” was the tagline.
No one said no. Everyone said YES.
So, I did it!
The Gift Wrap Book is the first creation by the New Moon Paper Co.
A place for curated, cool, paper-centric gift ideas that make gift-giving easy.
A place to reset, to recharge, to reaffirm your intent.
I hope you enjoy the experience. I will be listening.
